Helsinki
The Tuomiokirkko, or Lutheran Cathedral, as seen from Senate Square and from the harbour. Designed by Carl Engel and completed in 1852, this is Helsinki's most eye-catching feature.

The amazing Temppeliaukio kirkko is a church carved out of solid granite, with a large copper dome. The imposing train station designed by architect Eliel Saarinen, with its four muscular figures holding spherical lamps.
Helsinki's zoo, Korkeasaari, is situated on an island of its own.
View from the South Harbour. Past the Hietaniemi Cemetry to the west of the city lie popular sandy beaches.



Turku / Åbo
Views of Turku, Finland's former capital, known as Åbo in Swedish, including the Tuomiokirkko cathedral, centre of the Finnish Church, which dates back to the 13th century.



Tallinn (Estonia)
  Across the Baltic from Helsinki lies the Estonian capital of Tallinn, with one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe.

The Gothic Town Hall building is one of the most famed symbols of the city, with impressive views from its tower.

 
On the corner of the Town Hall Square, the Apothecary is one of the oldest pharmacies still functioning in its original spot in all of Europe. The Alexander Nevski Cathedral is a large richly decorated Orthodox church, built in 1900.
